Character Information
*Character Name: Cliffjumper
*Character Canon: Transformers Prime
*Age: Really really very old. I'd place him in the 30-40 range when it comes to equivalents.
*Race: Cybertronian
*Timeline/Pull Point: Before jumping into the crater and his untimely doom. So... the very beginning of episode 1.

*History:
A character with a history I can actually link? Be still my beating heart!
Mostly the Prime cartoon. Some aspects of personality are interpreted from the Prime comic, but since the episode "Out of the Past" is basically a re-imagining of the comic, it's safe to assume it's the same Cliffjumper.

*Personality:
In one word: Loud. Cliffjumper is the kind of bot who shoots first, ask questions never. He practically lives for a good fight, and as long as there's plenty of BOOM and a lot of action, he's good. He's the guy who loves a challenge, even if that means putting himself in great danger. Not looking before he leaps and biting off more than he can chew are pretty much common occurrences in the land of Cliffjumper.

When he isn't blowing things up, he's talking. A lot. He likes to chit chat, usually about himself and the things he does, to anyone willing to listen. Sometimes even to those who aren't so willing to listen. It doesn't even really matter what the situation is, whether just during a drive or while being captured, Cliffjumper will find something to talk about. Funny enough, his talking becomes a great assist and has been used on more than one occasion to stall for time. Arcee makes a comment on how she never thought she'd get used to all his chatter. Interestingly enough, Cliffjumper was in the middle of telling his partner yet another story of his before taking on his last fight. He's a chatterbox until the very end.

An Autobot through and through, Cliffjumper's dislike for any and all things Decepticon is... pretty up there. To him, there's nothing better than taking down a handful of Cons or two, and really it's probably all just a huge game for him. To say he has no respect for them is an understatement. He treats them like a joke and will often tease them in front of their faces, even shown when he was restrained and captured after a mission on Cybertron didn't turn towards his favor.

It seems to be the other way around with his fellow Autobots, though. Although he's still prone to teasing (it's much more playfully, however), he shows a lot of respect and loyalty towards his team. Especially for his partners. Cliffjumper has shown that he is willing to sacrifice just about anything for the team and will not go down without a fight. Although this was in the comic, after reaching Earth and being attacked by both Starscream and Breakdown, Cliffjumper refused to put down or leave behind the injured Arcee even when things did not look good for them. In typical Cliff fashion, he claimed that he couldn't hear her requests to leave her behind, jokingly claiming the explosions were too loud. This part was never shown in the episode based on the comic, in fact the episode ended before they would get to this 'part'. Despite this, to me at least, it seems like something Cliffjumper would still do.

He also, surprisingly, shows no signs of jealousy when other Autobots are kicking ass as much as or even more than he does. In fact, he gets pretty freakin' excited when he sees someone else in action. It could be that he's easily amused or perhaps just knows good fighting when he sees it and has to give credit its dues. This was only in the comic, but when being rescued by Arcee on Cybertron, Cliffjumper would make approving comments about her shooting and referred to her as 'incredible' when she was done taking everyone out. The situation was different in the cartoon, but I'd like to think he's still very much like this.

That's pretty much where respect ends. Cliff seems to not care at all about other, smaller races, even willingly transforming in front of them and getting a laugh out of scaring them. He does know, however, not to hurt them so he has some sort of courtesy. It goes without saying that tinier races, such as humans, are at least placed higher than Decepticons. So there's...something!

In case you couldn't tell by now, Cliffjumper is kind of immature. He does occasionally get bored when he isn't blowing something up and will more than happily shake things up to get some sort of entertainment. This means, yes, he will rush into fights without thinking. At all. Cliff seems to have this mentality that he might as well be invincible because even when he does take on too much to handle, things always turn out well in the end. (Minus one time but shhhh) This, in turn, leads him to be captured a hell of a lot and he has been noted as a bot who needs to be rescued quite often.

There's also a bit of an ego inside that horned head, and by 'a bit' I mean 'a lot, seriously'. You will probably hear Cliff brag about himself at least once, he's especially proud of his cannons and how much damage he can dish out. Again, this is really like a huge game for him and I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually sets up a scoring system.

Despite all his flaws, his spark is in the right place and he honestly believes he's a freedom fighter. Maybe not a run-of-the-mill freedom fighter, but he really believes what he's doing is the right thing. Eventually his rash behavior results in his downfall, but maybe now he can have a second chance.

*Powers/Abilities:

Being a robot in general: He's a fighter alright, and was pretty much set up to be big and powerful. No, he can't take on an army alone, and yes he did die, but it's still not really smart to underestimate him. He can take a hit and deliver a lot of hurt just like the rest of 'em.

He likes to believe maybe a little lot more.

Transforming: Like most Cybertronians, Cliffjumper has the ability to transform into a vehicle mode. In his case, he's a muscle car. The horns on the hood were his idea.

*Inventory:

Cannons: Cliffjumper claims he's in possession of six-cylinder fast-repeat ion cannons with an electroshock chaser, one for each arm. Along with them is a quantum sensitive multiphase targeting system "that would make Megatron himself jealous". Cliffjumper is very proud of his guns. This information is only found out through the comic, but I have no reason to believe it's any different in the cartoon.

*Starting Polarity: I have no idea anything is good

Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:

Hey, uh, is this thing even on...?

[There's a tap on the screen with a big metal finger before he rubs the back of his giant head.]

So, hey! Looks like I'm in need of a hand. I might've... dropped something, so if any one of you sees a, well a horn, just minding its own business on the ground, do you think you can stop just looking at it and bring it over to me? Those things don't reattach themselves, you know.

...In the meantime, someone tell Ratchet I'm stopping by soon.

*Third Person Sample:

The moment Cliffjumper realized he wasn't where he was supposed to be anymore was the moment the cannons came out. Even in the middle of what he assumed was nowhere he was on the offense, pointing his weapons at any rock formation that could suddenly become a threat. Eventually, growing bored of nothing popping out to attack him, he did fire at one of the several formations, causing it to explode and shower the scene in a rocky rainfall.

"I'm not playing this game!" he called out to any potential hidden enemies, making sure they realized that was the warning shot.

That was their mistake, whoever 'they' were. They put him here in this...place and then had the gall to make it boring. That was not going to fly and Cliffjumper didn't stand around a moment longer. Instead, he charged off, shouting like he was yelling some sort of battle cry. He fired his cannons a few times more, making sure the explosions were big and loud enough for the whole planet to hear.

If someone was here, he was going to make them come out.

Final Notes:
Cliffjumper is voiced by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in case he wasn't HARDCORE enough for you
